Archival Data: Filemaker
MISTI uses two Filemaker databases: Global Seed Funds and Students. Filemaker contains archival/historical data from the beginning of MISTI. Annually, student data from the past academic year is loaded into Filemaker from Terra Dotta; Global Seed Funds data is loaded into Filemaker from SurveyMonkeyApply.
Filemaker is available as a desktop application on your computer or as an online app via Webdirect. To access Filemaker from off-campus (working remotely or traveling), you must use the VPN GlobalProtect. On-campus does not require VPN. Note: your Filemaker login is not your MIT credentials, but your username (what’s before the @ in your email) and a unique password you set.
Screencast: How to Pull a Report from Filemaker This screencast shows how to report on the Global Seed Fund database, though the reporting functionality works the same way in the archival Student database.
