Program-Specific Branding

Program:         

Full-fledged MISTI country/regional program with enough funding to sustain a full- or part-time program manager and 45-55 internships per year (for a full-time program manager).

Treatment: Use of MIT-Country name, logo, letterhead, micro-site. They may use the MISTI name/logo in conjunction, but they may not call their program MISTI-Country name.They may have a MIT-Country@mit.edu email address through Moira.

Satellite:         

A MISTI country/regional program that is managed by the program manager of another, more established country/regional program. Has enough funding to sustain 5-15 internships per year and some administrative costs.

Treatment: Use of MIT-Country name, logo, letterhead, micro-site. They may use the MISTI name/logo in conjunction, but they may not call their program MISTI-Country name. They may have a MIT-Country@mit.edu email address through Moira.

Pilot:               

Exploration of a new potential MISTI initiative. Goal is to move beyond the pilot stage after 1-2 years, either to become a satellite program or a full-fledged program.

Treatment: Use of MISTI-Country name in writing, use MISTI logo, letterhead. No specialty email address.
NOTE: Pilot programs are sometimes concerned about being able to solicit growth without a logo/micro-site

GTL/GSL/GSF:   Locations where MISTI does not have a satellite or full-fledged program but maintains a GTL, GSL or GSF program.

                        Treatment: Use of GTL-Country name. Microsites must be connected to a program or satellite. Using GTL/GSF/GSL logo with country name added.
